House Blessing

To have a house/home blessed is a wonderful thing.  A family asks for God's blessings upon their domicile.  And the Church has arranged a short ceremony for this occasion.  Since the blessing of the house is an outward expression of what has happened within each person of the family at their blessing (Baptism - God coming to dwell within) it takes on a festive character.  Holy Cross Catholic Church will be happy to arrange a blessing of your home.

"Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat- for he grants sleep to those he loves." (Psalm 127)

To have one's home blessed, one must be a registered member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
